There has been a lot of news regarding NXT stars Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid of the Dyad over the past few months.
Following their match at NXT Stand & Deliver, the former Grizzled Young Veterans requested their releases from the company, with their requests being denied.
The two men then revealed that they would see out the rest of their contracts before leaving the company in mid-October.
Despite their release requests being denied, the Dyad have continued to feature weekly on NXT television as part of the Schism group with Joe Gacy and Ava.
In recent weeks, Joe Gacy has been coming up short in big matches for the group, including most recently in six-man tag team action against Mustafa Ali, Tyler Bate and Wes Lee.
After the show, James Drake (Jagger Reid) took to Twitter to share a clip of him and Fowler looking down in disappointment at Gacy following the loss.
Today, Gacy finally took notice of the moment, replying to the clip, heavily teasing some tension amongst the group.
He said:
We’ll I didnt notice that. Last week makes more sense now #NXTGoldRush
There has been no update on the contract status of Reid and Fowler, but it seems as though the pair could be set to separate from Gacy and the Schism soon.
