While he made his in-ring debut for the company way back at Summerslam 2020, the evolution of the Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio since his heel turn back at September’s Clash at the Castle has been a remarkable one.
His turn and alignment with the Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley has opened many doors for ‘ex-con Dom’.
Dominik’s ascent culminated with a high-profile clash with his father Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood, the night after his father was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
In a recent interview with The Independent Dominik would reflect on the match with his father and the personal significance to him.
Dominik explained:
“It was a super crazy experience, being able to be a part of WrestleMania against my dad and him getting inducted into the Hall of Fame the night before.
“It was all just a surreal moment, how everything built up and the way it was leading up to the match.
“It was super fun and a blessing to be a part of it.”
Despite falling short in the match, Dominik would state he was happy with the bout itself, with fans amazed with Dominik’s growth as a performer in recent years.
A report released prior to WrestleMania even revealed that WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H had ‘big plans’ for the 26-year-old.
The entire Judgement Day as well as Rey Mysterio will learn their fates on night two of the WWE draft, follow this link to stay up to date with every star who has been drafted thus far.
