WWE Tag Team Set For Separate Singles Pushes

WWE Tag Team Set For Separate Singles Pushes WWE

A WWE tag team seems set for their own separate singles runs as NXT has featured Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen in new ways of late.

After a backstage segment last week with Briggs appearing detached from Jensen coupled with Briggs telling him to stay away from ringside tonight, there seem to be mounting clues that the pair are headed for singles stories.

On tonight’s WWE NXT, Josh Briggs beat Carmelo Hayes to advance to the Iron Survivor Match at NXT Deadline after being selected by JBL for the qualifying match.

Briggs owes a partial assist to Lexis King who ran out and attempted to interfere in the match but instead was kicked in the face by Carmelo Hayes.

After tonight’s match, Fallon Henley, who’s been aligned with Briggs and Jensen, took issue with Briggs having a short conversation with Tiffany Stratton backstage as well.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Brooks Jensen featured in a dark match that saw the entrance go viral after he used “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” by Journey as his entrance music.

The new music combined with an old-school classic wrestler presentation may have been an off-TV test for a potential Brooks Jensen singles run, which would add more validity to the idea there was tension teased between him and Briggs on NXT TV possibly leading to a split.

Both Briggs and Jensen have worked house show singles matches as of late, with Briggs besting Oba Femi while Jensen has recently lost to Joe Gacy and Joe Coffey – again, another sign that they’re getting prepared for singles runs on TV.

We’ll keep you posted with any further updates, but all signs look to be pointing towards a Briggs and Jensen split.

They had actually split up in the past once before when Jensen chose a romance with Kiana James over Briggs and Henley, but when he realized he was in the wrong about that, the trio got back together.
