WWE star and NXT North American Champion Oba Femi has heaped praise on the “great man” and “great boss” Triple H is.
Oba Femi has quickly become one of the fastest rising stars in all of WWE. Debuting in November 2022 on NXT Level Up, Femi received a big push when he won the NXT Breakout Tournament. He followed up his tournament win by defeating Dragon Lee to become the new NXT North American Champion.
Speaking to Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, Oba Femi explained what it’s like to work with someone he watched growing up in Triple H. He said:
“I don’t know why, but in my head, I was like, ‘He won’t care too much about me,’ but he was surprisingly nice to me.”
“He’s a great man, a great boss, he’s doing very well with the main roster.”
“It was surreal, meeting him, because this was the person I grew up watching, just standing in front of me. It was a very important moment in my life.”
A recent report indicated that WWE higher-ups such as Triple H may have high hopes for Oba Femi as potential future main event player.
On the March 19 edition of WWE NXT, both Dijak and Josh Briggs set their sights on Femi’s North American Championship.
