More names have been confirmed as taking part in the WWE tryouts taking place in London, England, with one candidate commenting publicly on the invite.

With WWE Recruit having previously stated they were heading to the United Kingdom, it was recently reported that tryouts are taking place this week.

Among the names to have confirmed they were attending a tryout in posts on social media were independent wrestling stars Angel Hayze, Daz Black, Leon Cage, Tommy Vril and Maddy Morgan.

Five more names have emerged, courtesy of the Hustle Wrestling training school, with an Instagram post congratulating Safire Reed, Daemon Atlas, Gia Taylor, Austin Milward and Ema Corsi, in a message that reads:

“The Hustle Team is sending love and support to the 5 individuals at the WWE Tryout in the UK! Safire Reed, Daemon Atlas, Gia Taylor, Austin Milward and Ema Corsi! These incredible talents have worked so hard to prepare for this! Go show them what you’ve got! #HUSTLE (Take on me usually kicks off the drills playlist!)”

Safire Reed was previously an attendee at Bayley’s Lodestone seminar, with the independent star commenting on being left speechless when John Cena joined for a session.

Daz Black has also appeared on ITV News discussing the upcoming WWE tryout, revealing

“I got the call. Everybody in the business always wants to get the call, and I sort of thought I knew what it was, but I was still like maybe it’s something else.

“And, then, when I heard those words, I was like “this is the greatest thing that has ever happened.”

“But, also, of course, this is just Day One. Nothing is guaranteed. This is where the real work starts.”

WWE recently announced a number of new signings, with the rookie class of April 2026 being revealed.

“This Is Where The Real Work Starts”

While Raw and SmackDown may be the dream for many stars seeking a start in WWE, there’s plenty of other options for those lucky enough to sign on the dotted line.

Thanks to WWE ID, the developmental program focused on mentoring independent stars, fans have witnessed names appear on Evolve while continuing to perform on the independent wrestling circuit. For some, such as Vanity Project, among others, their talent has shone and NXT has been their next stop.

Black is, indeed, correct that the tryout, for many with WWE in their sights, is where the real work starts, as it’s a chance for them to each demonstrate the talent and tenacity that secured them an invite in the first place.

Although tryouts are held on a regular basis, fans really get more than a glimpse of what they entail, but what has been shared, such as the video below, gives an insight into what the decision makers are looking for.

The WWE tryout may be “day one” for many of these independent stars, but falling short here is likely no obstacle to a future opportunity for the right star proving they are willing and able to grow.
