Here are the current plans for WWE in terms of TV tapings, in particular concerning this coming Friday’s episode of SmackDown on FOX.
WWE already has Monday’s episode of Raw and Wednesday’s episode of NXT both taped, which will both air on the USA Network this week, but hasn’t yet taped Friday’s SmackDown.
Last week the Florida governor issued a ‘stay at home’ order, meaning unless given some sort of special exemption, WWE won’t be able to tape at its Performance Center anymore until that order is lifted.
At this point, the company is reportedly planning to tape SmackDown in a secret location before Friday to get SmackDown in the can.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio said:
“They’re looking to tape SmackDown some time between now and Friday. There was a location they’re trying to keep secret. It’s supposed to be in a shut-down state, but we’ll see what happens. So maybe they won’t be able to do it, maybe they will, but that’s the goal.”
