Backstage News On Vince McMahon Changing Creative Plans For WWE Royal Rumble

An update has emerged on Vince McMahon’s involvement in creative plans for tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble matches.

PWInsider reports that Vince McMahon has meticulously changed a number of aspects of tonight’s Royal Rumble matches, including who will enter the bouts first, and who will be involved with the final moments of each contest.

This year’s Rumbles have reportedly had a much more complicated creative process compared with last year’s matches, as McMahon settles on directions he wants. McMahon has reportedly taken an ‘extremely tight look’ at tonight’s event.

There has reportedly been discussions about competitors scheduled for other matches during the pay-per-view being added to the Rumble matches, with a pitch last week for Lesnar to enter the men’s Royal Rumble. These plans are not confirmed, especially as WWE creative has reportedly been going back and forth on certain ideas.

Per the report, everything depends on Vince McMahon’s wishes, but it was noted that Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns is almost definitely WWE’s direction for WrestleMania 38.
