WWE President Nick Khan has opened up about his working relationship with TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon.

Khan joined WWE in 2020 and has served as President and Chief Revenue Officer leading the company to record revenue and profits in the following years.

McMahon would go on to become TKO Executive Chairman when WWE and UFC merged in September 2023.

Speaking about their history on The Pat McAfee Show, Khan revealed that respect was a guiding factor in interactions with McMahon, saying:

“You can disagree with any point of view, and the folks who have succeeded tremendously at WWE… I’m talking about executives on the outside, Kevin Dunn, Paul Levesque, many, many others they all had that trait where they understood, this is the boss.

“He was the controlling shareholder, the founder of the company, this and that, so you’re not going to call him out in a room full of people if you disagree with something, you’re not going to be rude.”

An executive being able to disagree with the founder as long as he was respectful came from McMahon being polite according to Khan who added:

“He prefers to be polite, but he’s certainly comfortable if it has to go a different route, so what I’ve found with Vince was I can say anything to him directly in person as long as it was in a respectful way. He’d always hear it and oftentimes he’d agree with it.”

Khan also commented on recently seeing McMahon at the New York Stock Exchange, concluding:

“In terms of how often I’m in touch with him, I just saw him today at the New York Stock Exchange, he looks amazing, he’s still buff as can be, he’s still suited up and ready to go.”

It’s been a busy few days for Khan, WWE and TKO Group Holdings with the announcement that Raw is coming to Netflix and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson being added to the TKO board of directors.

McMahon has commented on the appointment of Dwayne Johnson in the press release reviewing the news.

As previously reported, Johnson also now owns the rights to the trademarked name “The Rock”.
