WWE Stars Filming Promos For WrestleMania 39

WWE Stars Filming Promos For WrestleMania 39 WWE

A rumor has emerged that WWE stars are currently filming brand-new promos for the upcoming WrestleMania 39.

WrestleVote revealed the news through their Twitter account, reporting:

“I’m hearing WWE has begun filming brand new “movie parody” promos similar to those from WrestleMania 21. Miz, McIntyre, Sheamus, Brutes & Street Profits all expected to be included in the promotion for “WrestleMania Goes Hollywood.””

WrestleMania 39 takes place on April 1 & 2 2023 at the SoFi Stadium.

Current matches announced for the two-night event are:

Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championhip.

Bianca Belair vs the winner of the Women’s Elimation Chamber Match (which will be one of Asuka, Liv Morgan, Nikki Cross, Raquel Rodriguez, Natalya or Carmella) for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

WrestleMania 21 saw WWE produce a number of movie parodies (which can be seen below this news story).

Among the parodies were John Cena and JBL in a parody of A Few Good Men, Stone Cold Steve Austin in a parody of Gladiator and Triple H parodying Braveheart (complete with a sort-of Scottish accent).

There’s no news as to which movies will be parodied in the new WWE promos, but here’s hoping for Dominik Mysterio in The Green Mile.
