John Cena On WWE Heel Turn
back from the Spoiler Room Brawl? Can’t believe Cheesburger is the new ROH Champion.
Anyhoo, John Cena was in attendance at San Diego Comic Con this past weekend to promote his new movie Bumblebee, where he plays the villainous Agent Burns. This is Cena’s second villain role – with him also voicing new foe Baron Draxom in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – and he said during the panel that wrestling fans should enjoy his heel performances in films and TV as they’re never going to happen in WWE. I know, I’m as stunned as you are.
“It doesn’t seem like my character in the WWE will ever evolve into that bad guy role that perhaps a lot of people have wanted; so this is kind of a way for my fans from that aspect of my career to see that side of me. So, don’t expect heel John Cena in the WWE – that’s Inside Baseball talk for some of you – but it means bad guy John Cena isn’t happening there, so this is that chance for me.”
