Let’s face it, NXT TakeOver shows are the most consistently brilliant thing under the WWE umbrella. Amazing storytelling, phenomenal wrestling, and minimal nonsense – what more could you ask for?
Therefore, when I say that NXT Takeover: New Orleans could be the best ever, you know something special could be happening in just over 24 hours time.
I would argue that four of the matches on this five-match card are potential match of the year candidates, and that’s not something to be taken lightly. The talent being offered up is honestly ridiculous, and it helps massively that the card isn’t over-saturated.
Having five matches on a two-and-a-half hour show allows each match to go for plenty of time, which is not something that can be said for the 14-match Wrestlemania card!
Anyway, here’s our slightly less in-depth rundown of NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, and what we think will happen.
