On October 6, 2018, WWE is presenting Super Show-Down from Melbourne, Australia.
Historically, Australia and New Zealand have not produced a ton of wrestlers who have risen to global prominence. That, however, is starting to change.
Last week, WrestleTalk.com released a feature ranking all current WWE wrestlers from the region to celebrate the Aussie supershow. Here, we’re going to flip that on its head, and rank the top five wrestlers from Australia and New Zealand that are not in WWE!
5. Kyle Fletcher
If you listen to the WrestleRamble podcast on the WrestleTalk YouTube channel, then you’ll know that Aussie Open are Luke’s boys.
A relatively new team but one that is making waves on the UK scene, the duo of Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher have captured the Defiant and PROGRESS Tag Team Championships during their short time as a tandem.
Fletcher is the younger of the two. The young man from Sydney, Australia has a ton of promise, and if he can learn from the veterans he is working with, then this young man should have a bright future.
It wouldn’t surprise me to see him on the NXT UK brand sometime in the near future.
