This past week the news came out that The Revival, Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis had all asked for their WWE releases due to unhappiness with their respective pushes on the main roster.
Although Maria has since denied the story on social media, we understand that the story did have merit to it and has been confirmed by multiple sources within WWE.
Another name on people’s lips was Dolph Ziggler, who is reportedly unhappy (again) and wants out of his deal. We have heard that one before, however.
The latest name to come up in this apparent three-way talent bidding war between WWE, AEW and ROH is perhaps a surprising one: Sasha Banks.
The Boss is scheduled to meet Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Title at Royal Rumble but prior to that she had been relegated to just another face in the crowd and was barely pushed at all in 2018. Given that it is perhaps no surprise that she has publicly spoke out on Twitter in support of The Revival.
Now the context of this tweet is that The Revival stole the show in a tag match on a San Antonio house show, but the timing of the tweet given the story doing the rounds makes it interesting:
Holy I want to be like the revival #wwesanantonio 😍

Scott Dawson responded with a tweet that referenced the recent story and used the #FTR hashtag that the duo have registered, which has long links back to the Young Bucks.

In response to that, Sasha seemed to hint that she wants to follow the pair out of the door:

WWE has reportedly rejected The Revival’s release request and is likely to do the same for any others that try to leave the promotion in the upcoming months. They have no interesting in sending people into the hands of a their rivals, certainly not someone as high-profile as Sasha.
Whether she and others want to leave or not is irrelevant while they are under contract. Others who have contracts coming up for renewal may well end up with the new promotion, they will certainly get better offers from WWE than they would have previously if they do not.
Do you think Sasha Banks, The Revival or Maria and Mike Kanellis will end up in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
