Lars Sullivan has now been lurking for a couple of months, and despite plenty of rumours that he’s been backstage at Raw and ready to debut, he is yet to be seen.
It has been reported that he was sent home from Raw after suffering a panic attack, and if this is the case we wish him all the best.
Dave Meltzer suggested on Wrestling Observer Radio that Lars was going to debut in a backstage attack on John Cena, which would give WWE an excuse for Cena not being in the Rumble, and set up a future feud.
However, this was seemingly dropped as nothing of the sort was aired. Despite all of this, we understand that WWE are still very high on Sullivan, and that when he does eventually debut, he will be given an almighty push to the top of the card.
As a hulking brute in the ring, it’s not difficult to see why someone like Lars is going to be given a push. Vince McMahon, whatever his shortcomings, knows how to book a monster, and we can expect to see plenty of carnage when Lars Sullivan stops lurking.
It’s more than likely that he could be a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble this coming Sunday. WWE likes having big men in the Rumble and then being surprised when they get eliminated.
