Another match has been announced for Ring of Honor’s 17th Anniversary show. As the event quickly approaches, the card will now feature the match between Rush and Bandido.
The match should draw the ire of many fans of Lucha Libre as this will be the clash between one of Lucha Libre’s biggest names and one of its fastest rising stars. In a video tweeted out by ROH, Bandido challenges Rush to a match at the 17th Anniversary show. Rush quickly accepts the match and the match is made official. This will be the first time the two men will have ever wrestled one another.

Rush made his debut for Ring of Honor after Final Battle in December. After he defeated TK O’Ryan in his debut, it was announced the CMLL megastar had signed with ROH. After having spent nearly his entire career in CMLL, Rush now takes his star power to Ring of Honor where he promises to be their top star.
Bandido made a huge name for himself in 2018. After main eventing the ALL IN pay per view, he signed an exclusive contract with Ring of Honor. This decision came despite contract offers from WWE and AEW, making Bandido a major free agent acquisition for ROH. Their match will be the first ROH pay per view appearance by either man.
The updated card for the Ring of Honor 17th Anniversary show is as follows:
- ROH World Championship Match – Jay Lethal (c) vs. Matt Taven
- ROH World Tag Team Championship Match – The Briscoes (c) vs. Villain Enterprises (PCO & Brody King)
- Rush vs. Bandido
