Kofi Kingston has shown in the last week what a bit of momentum and amazing wrestling can do.
He went from one part of a popular tag act, to having fans screaming his name in the hope that he would beat Daniel Bryan in the Elimination Chamber and become the WWE Champion.
Despite falling just short, he was easily the most over thing on the night, despite an earlier Becky Lynch segment. Plenty of people have called WWE out for not capitalising on the momentum Kofi had and giving him the belt, but the biggest reaction to his performance has been respect…from everyone.
Kofi is a 10 year veteran in WWE, and has been one of the most consistent performers in the brand’s history, something illustrated in the below tweets from his fellow superstars.

Kofi is a genuinely good guy. A devoted husband. A dedicated father. A tremendous athlete. An amazingly talented professional wrestler or “superstar”.
The @WWE title on him is a good look for the company. Certainly a treat for the fans! And a better representative doesn’t exist— MVP (@The305MVP) February 18, 2019
