The Four Horsemen, with original members Ric Flair, Ole Anderson, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard were possibly the single most dominant faction in wrestling history. The group appeared in Jim Crockett’s Mid Atlantic Champion Wrestling promotion, and later WCW.
The group, led by Flair, were not only flash and flamboyant outside of the ring, but extremely talented technical wrestlers inside of it. Although many have tried, no group has been able to match the success that the Four Horsemen experienced.
Fast forwarding nearly 35 years since the group’s formation, Starrcast II’s organiser Conrad Thompson has officially applied to use the term ‘Four Horsemen’. This is interesting as Starrcast is not officially affiliated with, but has ties to Cody’s All Elite Wrestling. Under the description of the trademark, Conrad says that it would be this would be used for ”performances by a professional wrestling”.
This led some people to question if AEW were planning on having their own variation of the Four Horsemen. The group could possibly feud with Cody, whose father Dusty Rhodes had some fantastic battles with the faction in the 1980s, and ‘The Elite’.
Taking that into consideration, in this list we have 10 wrestlers who could potentially be a part of a AEW’s own Four Horsemen.
