After Kofi Kingston defeated Sheamus, Cesaro, Rowan, Samoa Joe and Randy Orton in a fantastic performance on Smackdown Live last night, he was once again screwed at the hands of Vince McMahon. The Chairman of WWE brought out WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and said that Kofi would have to beat him to secure his spot at WrestleMania.
Bryan would defeat Kingston, leading WWE to post a video of an obviously angry New Day threatening to leave the company over the mistreatment of Kofi. Big E and Xavier Woods would say that no matter what Kofi did, WWE management would also place a ”glass ceiling above him”. Woods would actually go on to say ”I think we should quit”.
Big E would take to Twitter and post a similarly emotional promo this afternoon. He said that the company was not built on meritocracy and that ”people like us” are never going to get to the top. He would question if it was worth being away from home for 250+ days a year, and said that he and his friends had ”a lot of thinking to do”.

This is most definitely not a shoot promo but instead the storyline WWE are opting to take. However, it does not take away from the fact these angles were Kofi remains quiet, visibly upset and frustrated get the crowd behind him, with Xavier Woods and Big E being perfect in their roles. It is clear that whilst this is scripted, there is some genuine real emotion behind what the pair are saying.
