Former Raw, Smackdown and NXT Tag Team Champion Jason Jordan was in line for a big push in 2017-18 following a storyline where he was portrayed as Kurt Angle’s illegitimate son.
It is believed that Jordan was set for a match at WrestleMania 34 with his storyline father after turning heel on the former WWE Champion.
Plans were halted after Jason Jordan suffered a nasty neck injury, and he has not wrestled since he and Seth Rollins lost the Raw Tag Team Championships to Cesaro and Sheamus at the 2018 Royal Rumble.
When asked by a fan what happened to the former American Alpha star, Dave Meltzer had the following to say, and it unfortunately isn’t great news:
Neck injury. Doesn't look good for a return. https://t.co/E7bRIHrmh1

It seems as if Jordan has already been preparing for life outside of the ring. Former Cruiserweight Champion Jamie Noble shared an image of himself, Sonjay Dutt and Jason Jordan working as producers backstage at WWE’s Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia.

Jordan has yet to officially retire, but if Dave Meltzer is to be believed, we have seen the last of Jason Jordan inside a wrestling ring.
