Last night on Raw, Roman Reigns was assaulted once again by an unknown attacker. During the segment, Samoa Joe seemingly hinted at a babyface turn as he was clearly quite worried about Roman’s state, calling for paramedics to assess him.
However, it has since been reported that WWE has no plan to turn Samoa Joe into a babyface. WWE wants to make Daniel Bryan into a mega heel, so are trying to make it seem as if he is so despicable that other heels want to distance themselves from him.
As has been reported since the first attack last week, Daniel Bryan is expected to be revealed as the man targetting Reigns, leading to a SummerSlam match this weekend in Toronto, Canada.
TalkSport‘s Alex McCarthy is reporting that while Bryan and Reigns will be sharing the ring at SummerSlam, it won’t be in a singles match.
McCarthy stated in a tweet earlier on today that tonight’s Smackdown Live will see Daniel Bryan and Rowan reveal themselves as Roman Reigns’ attacker. According to the report, Reigns and Samoa Joe will then team up to take on Rowan and Bryan at the upcoming pay-per-view
UPDATE – Reigns/mystery attacker:
I'm hearing it's going to unravel tonight/coming days and the attackers will be revealed as Bryan & Rowan.
That will set up Reigns AND Samoa Joe Vs Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan at #SummerSlam.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm all for it.
