WWE has announced that Kofi Kingston will again defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton at Clash of Champions on September 15.
Orton challenged Kofi for the title at SummerSlam earlier this month, but the match ended in a double countout as they got carried away brawling at ringside in front of Kingston’s family.
Since then, Orton has formed an alliance with the Revival, and the trio has been targeting the New Day, even injuring (in storyline) Xavier Woods last week on Raw.
The current card for Clash of Champions is as follows:
- Seth Rollins (c) vs. Braun Strowman – WWE Universal Championship
- Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Randy Orton – WWE Championship
- Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode – WWE Raw Tag Team Championships
- Bayley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
- King of the Ring final
