Last night, NXT put on a fantastic show, the first to be live on the USA Network. The show featured a title change and a few shocking returns.
The main event of the second hour was a gripping street fight between Matt Riddle and Killian Dain. The match went to a no contest, with the pair unable to be controlled.
After the show, it was confirmed by William Regal that Dain and Riddle will meet in a street fight once again on next week’s show.
The winner of the match will then go on to face NXT Champion Adam Cole in a title match the following week on October 2, the first week of NXT TV to go head-to-head with AEW on TNT.

Also announced for next week’s show is a huge (no pun intend) rematch between Domnik Dijakovic and Keith Lee. The pair had a stellar match a few weeks back on NXT TV.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Dave Meltzer is reporting in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Shayna Baszler is expected to defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Candice LeRae on the big October, 2 show.
This comes after LeRae defeated Mia Yim, Bianca Belair and Io Shirai to become number one contender on last night’s show.
