It has been announced that AJ Styles will be defending his WWE United States Championship next week on Raw.
It will be young Mexican Humberto Carrillo who once again challenges Styles for the gold.
Carrillo was unsuccessful in vying for AJ’s championship at Crown Jewel on October 31, but retaliated by pinning Styles in a six-man tag on Raw last week.
He also beat AJ’s fellow OC member Karl Anderson in singles action on last night’s show.
After the announcement was made, Carrillo was put over in an interview by Rey Mysterio, who himself will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship in a No Holds Barred clash at Survivor Series.
Speaking of which, before he defends next Monday, Styles has got a three-way match against IC Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and NXT NA Champion Roderick Strong on Sunday.
Styles is currently in his third reign as US Champion, having won the title from Ricochet at Extreme Rules in July.
