As the old saying goes, another one bites the dust. Buddy Murphy has become the latest WWE star to lose part of their name as he will now be known as simply “Murphy”.
The change to his name was revealed on WWE.com in the midst of his current run as one of the Raw Tag Team Championship. He and Seth Rollins won the titles from the Viking Raiders on January 20, 2020.
This is the latest in a long line of WWE stars who have lost part of their names. Others on this list include Adrian Neville, Antonio Cesaro, Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas, and Mustafa Ali.
Murphy recently finished his feud with Aleister Black and joined Seth Rollins group. He and Rollins won the tag team titles the next week and they have remained a unit since.
