In the lead up to WrestleMania 36, it seemed as though we were set to have a United States Championship match between Andrade and Rey Mysterio.
However, several weeks before ‘Mania, Mysterio was sent home after feeling unwell, as WWE didn’t want to risk any further complications in the current world climate.
Mysterio has spoken to FOX Sports MX about missing pre-WrestleMania tapings, which subsequently ruled him out of a WrestleMania spot.
He explained that prior to the Performance Center tapings, he wasn’t feeling 100%, and while he didn’t have any specific Coronavirus symptoms, he was told to stay home in San Diego just to be safe.
He didn’t mention any plans for a return, but WWE will be hoping that he is healthy as soon as possible as there are no plans to stop filming shows.
