WWE releases are coming fast and frequent today. Now, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that a second wave of releases is coming.
The list of releases on the day has risen over two dozen and it doesn’t appear close to stopping.

The Voices of Wrestling Twitter account posted a tweet saying “Another wave coming (non-wrestlers) to which Meltzer responded, “and wrestlers”. This, of course, is indicating that even more releases will likely be coming shortly. Needless to say, we will bring you any and all updates on the situation.
Rusev was the latest name added to this growing list when this article was written. He had announced the news himself before it was confirmed by WWE. The names who have been released have ranged from enhancement talents to top tier talents, which indicates few people are safe.
This pandemic has caused a lot of turmoil in wrestling and this is right up there with the worst of it. Some people have responded with a positive attitude while others have taken the news much harder. We wish nothing but the best to all those who have lost their jobs today.
