One of the things AEW does well is set up the following weeks show. Tonight, they ran several segments to set up some matches next week. Often they are just one-offs, but at least there is usually some reason the match is happening. Well, unless your in the women’s division.
The first match set up is Le Sex Gods vs. Best Friends where The Best Friends have put their title shot on the line to get the match. Jericho and The Inner Circle brutally attacked Orange Cassidy after their 6 man tag match tonight.

Jericho first attacked Cassidy with a bat and busted him open. Then he grabbed a bag of oranges and hit him several times with it.
Up next, in a very simple segment, MJF interrupted a Billy Gunn promo because he didn’t feel Tony should be wasting his time interviewing Gunn instead of him. So, they are also having a match next week.
In one match that didn’t really have a lot of build, but did get announced in an interview segment is Kenny Omega and Hangman Page will be defending their titles against The Natural Nightmares. QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes have been rolling up the wins on Dark, but there wasn’t really a reason given for why they get a title shot.
There looks to be some turmoil within the Nightmare Family as the Natural Nightmares go up against @KennyOmegamanx & @theAdamPage for the #AEW World Tag Team Championships next week!

Another tag match next week will see The Young Bucks vs. The Superbad Death Squad. This was set up in the post-match segment with FTR and The Young Bucks. Sabian and Havoc attacked the Bucks after a promo segment. So, we’re getting a match.
Also, we’ll see Cody Rhodes defend the TNT title in another open challenge. Who will he face? We don’t know.
That sounds like a pretty great line-up. However, I’m sure we’ll get a random women’s match announced sometime between now and next Wednesday.
