Former Champions Believed To Be ‘Naive’ By WWE Stars

The day before Impact Slammiversary last week, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson did their first shoot podcast, in which they spoke about their releases, their plans for the future and much more.

One of the most interesting things to come out of the podcast was that, according to Gallows and Anderson, the decision to release them was made by Paul Heyman, as opposed to Vince McMahon.

This reportedly led to a fight between Gallows & Anderson’s good friend AJ Styles, and the aforementioned Paul Heyman. The dispute is reportedly the reason why AJ Styles moved to SmackDown.

Well according to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, some of the WWE roster think it’s “naive” that Gallows and Anderson don’t think the call to fire them was made by Vince McMahon:

A lot of the reaction to the interview centered on the idea of how could they be so naive to think it was Heyman and not Vince, the reality is Anderson did say he knew it was still Vince’s call. Even Styles, while ripping Heyman publicly, also admitted he knew it was Vince’s call.

It certainly seems as if all of the releases were Vince McMahon’s calls, certainly considering it was reported as such by Dave Meltzer several weeks ago. You can read more about that by clicking here.
