During the TNT Championship Match on the October 14, 2020 edition of AEW: Dynamite between Cody and Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin was shown watching the match from the crowd.
During the match, the announcers officially announced Darby Allin will be challenging for the TNT Championship at Full Gear on November 7, 2020. Who will he be facing?
As of tonight, Cody is still the TNT Champion. Cody walked out as the TNT Champion even though he didn’t win his match.
The match officially ended in a time-limit draw. This is sure to have meant to be a bit of poetic justice on the AEW Anniversary show.
It's official!@DarbyAllin will challenge for the TNT Championship at Full Gear LIVE on Nov 7th.

Cody appreciates old school wrestling and a staple of the 80s era he’s so fond of was the draw. However, the last time a Cody match finished in a draw was at Fyter Fest against Darby Allin.
Now it appears, Allin will get a shot at Cody and the TNT Title. Allin lost to Cody in the Semi-finals of the TNT Title Tournament.
Cody could of course lose the title prior to Full Gear, but it seems like the timing of the announcement would indicate the plan is Darby vs. Cody.
