WWE reportedly has big plans for a particular NXT star and has filed for an intriguing new trademark related to the talent in recent days.
WWE filed for “Chigona Bomb” with the United States Patent & Trademark Office on October 29.
WrestlingNews.co is reporting that the trademark is for Raquel Gonzalez who WWE management is very high on and has big plans for when she gets to the main roster.
The description for the trademark was as follows:
IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports via an online community portal
Some people have pointed out the term “Chingona” – which is basically Latin American slang for a badass woman – is a nickname Gonzalez uses on Instagram.
However, the term WWE filed for was “Chigona Bomb” (you’ll notice there’s an “n” missing). It seems possible that this was an error in the filing so we’ll keep you updated if that’s the case. But, to clarify, it wasn’t a typo on our behalf and is exactly what WWE filed for.
