We’ve previously covered WWE firing two executives this week, and PWInsider is reporting that another higher-up from within the company has been let go this week, either on Wednesday or Thursday.
According to the site, John Brody, who served as WWE’s Executive Vice President, Global Head of Sales and Partnership was let go from the company this week. His responsibilities have been taken over by Stephanie McMahon:
John Brody, who held the position of Executive Vice President, Global Head of Sales and Partnerships, exited the company earlier this week. We have heard he was let go on either Wednesday or Thursday.
As PWInsider.com reported last month, WWE’s Global Sales and Partnerships division shifted to fall under Stephanie McMahon-Levesque back in August with Brody, who previously headed that area, now reporting to her.
Brody had been with the company for close to six years and had worked as an advisor to WWE prior to coming on board full-time. His resume notes he was a “key member of the company’s Executive Committee responsible for providing strategic vision for WWE’s global Sales operations while also growing and expanding the company’s global media partnerships” and through his work, “WWE’s global sales revenue increased 110% from 2015 to 2020 driven by multi-platform partnerships with blue-chip brands including Procter & Gamble, Cricket Wireless, Coca-Cola, Mars, Hyundai and Unilever.”
This comes after it was confirmed that Karen Mullane and Mark Kowal had both been fired by WWE after several years of serving as top executives for the company. You can read more about that by clicking here.
The report from PWInsider also noted that more executives are believed to have been let go this week. If any more emerges on the topic, WrestleTalk.com will keep you posted.
