Last week’s episode of AEW: Dynamite was given the tagline “Winter Is Coming”, and it was far more enjoyable to watch than the atrocity that was the Game of Thrones version of that tagline.
It was arguably the biggest episode of Dynamite in AEW’s brief history, and it seems the next “special” show is just around the corner.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, we can expect AEW to announce something big for the December 30, 2020 edition of the show. According to Meltzer it is “supposed to be a really big show”.
He noted that there has actually been some pushback from people within AEW after it was announced that both Sting and Shaquille O’Neal will both be appearing on tomorrow night’s (December 9) episode of Dynamite, as some feel it may look like announcing too many things for one two hour show.
Interestingly, this news comes just a few days after NXT announced a New Years Evil show for January 6, but it is unknown whether AEW are waiting to make any announcements about a show on the 30th until NXT’s full plans are known.
We will keep you updated with any further announcements.
