There had been some speculation as of late about a possible in-ring return of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. He has said in the past that he would be physically able to have another match, but now he has cleared the air.
Austin recently confirmed that his in-ring career is, in fact, over. WWE on Fox posted an excerpt from a recent interview of his confirming this.
"I don’t need to go out there and drop anybody on a stack of dimes and give them stunners." – @steveaustinBSR

“I don’t want to do nothing else in the ring. I’m done. I’ve retired.”
Steve Austin has not wrestled a match since 2003 when he was beaten by The Rock at WrestleMania XIX. While he was shown wrestling with trainee Luke Robinson on the 2011 season of Tough Enough and said he was looking to get back in the ring, nothing ever came of this.
Austin stuck around WWE for a while after his retirement working a number of on-air authoritative roles. Eventually, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009. More recently he has been appearing on his Broken Skull Sessions show with stars such as The Undertaker, Drew McIntyre and Bayley.
