WrestleMania 37 will be the first show WWE has run with a paying audience in over a year. As a result, there is increased interest in what the ticket sales have been like for the show.
There is also significantly less time than usual between tickets going on sale and the event taking place. However, with a reduced number of tickets being sold, it doesn’t appear this has been an issue.
Dave Meltzer provided an update on the ticket sales for WrestleMania 37 on Wrestling Observer Radio. Here is the quote:
“A lot of the tickets went to scalpers, so they would have bought both nights also. When I checked tickets a couple of days ago, it was almost identical. Not only the tickets that were left were virtually identical, so essentially everyone who bought tickets bought it for both nights from the very start. And there were tickets left still, but there weren’t a lot of tickets left. But there’s still some. I checked some of the secondary sites and there were a lot of tickets on them, but there were gonna be a lot, that’s not unusual or anything like that, that’s to be expected.
“I could see that a lot of ticket brokers would probably buy with the idea that there’s only 25,000 tickets, and probably less than that. If they’re setting up for 25,000, then you’re probably talking about 20,000 tickets, 21,000 tickets, because there’s a lot that are gonna be given to friends and corporate partners and things like that. So that, in theory, is too few, and the demand will be greater than the supply, and if the demand is greater than the supply, that’s a great night if you’re a secondary ticket holder because you can resell it at a higher price. But right now we don’t know that because there’s so many uncertain things about something of this nature.”
