Many WWE stars talk about their frustrations with WWE’s creative process over the years. However, one star who seems to be trusted with their content is SmackDown star Sami Zayn.
During his recent appearance on Renee Paquette’s Oral Sessions, Zayn was asked if he has creative freedom in WWE. In short, he said he does and is fortunate to have had his ideas go through. Here is the quote, courtesy of Fightful:
“A fair bit. I heard Jon’s [Moxley’s] infamous podcast and I understand. That frustration exists to a certain extent for all the talent. Anyone who is remotely creative, the higher up you get in the world of show business, the less creative control you have, but the more money you make. I’m pretty fortunate because I feel like I’ve had a lot of my ideas go through. Kind of a shocking amount, especially in the last two years.”
Sami Zayn has been involved in a conspiracy theory storyline dating back to 2020. He is currently scheduled to face long-time friend and rival Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 37.
