It’s being reported that a number of AEW Dynamite episodes in the near future won’t take place on Wednesdays due to the NBA.
As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the first of these will be at the end of May.
Instead of happening at 8pm on Wednesday, May 26, that week’s edition will air at 10pm on Friday, May 28.
That might be a bit of a bummer as that’s the final show before Double Or Nothing which is on Sunday, May 30.
The plan is to tape two hours of Dark matches starting at 8pm on May 28 and then do a live Dynamite from 10pm.
There’s also going to be a Countdown To Double Or Nothing show which will air on Saturday, May 29 the day before the pay-per-view.
On top of that, there’s also some uncertainty regarding the first show after Double Or Nothing.
The Dynamite that would have taken place on Wednesday, June 2 will now be either Friday, June 4 or Saturday, June 5 depending on which NBA playoff game TNT gets that weekend.
That’s the reason Brian Cage and Brian Pillman Jr were pulled from the Warrior Wrestling show on June 5.
If the Dynamite ends up being on June 4, there will still be tapings on June 5 for upcoming Dark & Elevation episodes.
However, if the Dynamite is on June 5, it’s unknown what the plan is for those AEW Dark & Elevation tapings.
