The war between All Elite Wrestling and WWE has seen its fair share of jabs sent from both sides. The most recent of which came last night when NXT star Shotzi Blackheart poked fun at the finish of AEW’s Blood & Guts match. Now, Matt Hardy has responded.
While some fans have gotten themselves bent out of shape over Blackheart’s comment, Hardy stepped in to say jabs are all in good fun. Responding to a tweet from Sean Ross Sapp, Hardy said he doesn’t have a problem with jabs as long as they’re not in poor taste. Here is the quote:
“AEW & WWE are competitors, shots & jabs are to be expected. I don’t have a problem with jabs, as long as they’re not in poor taste.”
AEW stars have been known to take many shots at WWE in the past, especially on Being The Elite. Of course, most of these shots have been harmless banter, something that has existed between companies forever.
Matt Hardy did not appear on the Blood & Guts show, having appeared most recently on this week’s AEW Dark: Elevation. On the show, he and The Blade teamed up to defeat Alan Angels and Colt Cabana of The Dark Order.
