Finn Balor To Return To WWE Main Roster?

Finn Balor is set to challenge Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, but could this be the Irishman’s final match with the black and gold brand?

It has been speculated that Finn Balor is going to be heading back up to the main roster after his match with Kross, and this has intensified after Balor said on the Out of Character podcast that he wants to return to Raw or SmackDown.

Balor said:

“Absolutely (the idea of returning to the main roster interests me) obviously, I grew up as a wrestling fan watching WWE and I feel like that is where I want to be performing. I feel like in my last run there I wasn’t doing myself justice. I needed to change something and I went to NXT and I found out who I was again and I managed to do that to some level and I’m hopeful at some level that Raw or SmackDown will happen in the future.”

It was reported yesterday that WWE is preparing to call several NXT and NXT UK stars up to either Raw or SmackDown soon, and while his name was not mentioned in the report, it’s possible that Balor could be one of the people called up.

Finn Balor returned to NXT in October 2019 as part of the brand going live on the USA Network and going head-to-head with AEW Dynamite, with Balor’s last main roster appearance coming at SummerSlam 2019 when he lost to the debuting Fiend.
