Paul Heyman has recently hinted at the return of Brock Lesnar to WWE, over a year since The Beast’s last match for the company.
Lesnar hasn’t wrestled since losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. Paul Heyman has provided some clues as to when we should expect The Beast to show up next.
Speaking on Sports Talk 790, Heyman theorised that his former client could be waiting for WWE to return to the road. Hinting that Lesnar could show up on the July 16 episode of SmackDown, Heyman admitted that Brock Lesnar ultimately does what Brock Lesnar wants.
Fuelling speculation, Heyman said:
“Asking me about Brock Lesnar is a highly intelligent question and I commend you on your efforts, however, it’s a hypothetical. Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do. If Brock Lesnar wanted to be back in WWE at this moment, at this particular time and place, he would be.
“Maybe, maybe he has been waiting for the live events, and maybe he’ll choose Houston to make that return… or maybe not, because Brock Lesnar is going to do whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do.”
WWE returns to their touring schedule in Houston for SmackDown on July 16. Money In the Bank will be the first pay-per-view with fans since WrestleMania, on July 18.
Earlier today, it was officially revealed that SummerSlam will take place on August 21. The venue will be announced next Saturday. You can read the latest on WWE selecting a SummerSlam venue here.
