Despite claims that have been made by Braun Strowman, PWInsider is backing its report regarding his indie booking asking price.
The site initially reported that Strowman was asking for a five-figures to make appearances, but he then took to Twitter to say he’s not actually been in contact with any promoters.
PWInsider is now reporting that while Strowman might not have been in contact with anyone himself, his representation has, and the site is backing up its earlier report.
Strowman’s manager Nick Antocelli has reportedly quoted “20k-25k” to multiple promoters for a three-hour appearance.
He is also said to be asking for first class airfare, a two-night hotel stay, meals, and transportation, to be covered.
It’s worth mentioning that Dave Meltzer also mentioned in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that word on the street is Strowman had been asking for over $10,000 per appearance.
Strowman’s tweet that seemed to deny the initial report was:
Let me just get this FYI out. I have not spoken to anyone about bookings. But if you wanna talk business the email to my agent is in my bio. Thank for any confusion you may be reading online.
Strowman was released by WWE earlier this month due to the ongoing cost cutting, as he was on a “monster” contract that the company evidently decided he wasn’t worth anymore.
