Following recent reports that Moose had re-signed with IMPACT, further updates have emerged relating to the former TNA World Champion.
It was recently reported that Moose and IMPACT had came to terms on a new contract. It has since been noted that Moose will be staying with IMPACT for at least two years.
Fightful Select (subscription required) confirmed the earlier reports, noting that other companies had shown interest in signing Moose. It was stated that his new deal is a significant improvement over his last contract.
The report also revealed that the IMPACT star will play a key role in the company’s future plans. The contract will reportedly carry Moose into the summer of 2023.
Moose has been one of the most pushed stars in IMPACT recently. In 2020, he began calling himself the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. The title eventually became officially recognized by the promotion before he lost the title to Rich Swann.
The TNA World Heavyweight Championship was unified with the IMPACT World Championship before it was won by Kenny Omega.
At Saturday’s Against All Odds pay-per-view, Moose unsuccessfully challenged for the IMPACT World Title. Following the match, Don Callis fired Sami Callihan from IMPACT Wrestling.
Also at the event, another AEW vs IMPACT dream match was teased.
