WWE SmackDown star and former women’s champion Carmella has responded to fans suggesting her in-ring skills aren’t up to scratch.
It was announced last night that Carmella will challenge Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship on next Friday’s SmackDown, which prompted responses from the world of Twitter.
Carmella initially tweeted:
Me: existing, thriving, minding my own damn business
Liv Morgan: (whining, crying, huffing and puffing) “Why does Carmella get everything??? I deserve everything!”
One fan then offered a “correction”, replying:
You need to edit this!!
Me: I’m bringing the back the divas division from 15 years ago. looks over wrestling ability.
WWE universe: nobody wants this. We want proper wrestling not bra and panties matches
In response to that, Carmella tweeted:
HAHAHA!
That’s where you’re wrong, sweetie
I have the looks AND the talent. I’m the total package.
I don’t get why people like you & the rest of the WWE Universe makes it seem like we can only fit into one box.
I love looking good & I can go in the ring. It’s ok to do both.
As a result of challenging Belair next Friday due to Bayley’s torn ACL, Carmella has been removed from the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match and replaced by Liv Morgan.
While a title change may initially seem unlikely, it would make storyline sense for Carmella to win so Morgan can cash-in on her at a later date if she wins Money in the Bank.
