UPDATE: It appears this story may not have been completely accurate, as Wrestling Inc reports Jarrett and WWE parted ways in January.
The report notes that the split was “amicable” and the parties are still on good terms, so it looks like the situation is he’s not under contract, but open to working with WWE in the future.
It’s also worth keeping in mind though that Wrestling Inc hasn’t had the best track record with its reports in recent times.
We’ll keep you informed with any more updates.
It was reported earlier that Jeff Jarrett had been released by WWE this past April, but some new clarification has since come to light.
According to Lucha Libre Online, Jarrett is actually still with WWE, just on a non-exclusive deal that allows him to do other work outside of the company.
The deal means Jarrett is able to do his My World podcast on AdFreeShows and some other external projects.
Jeff Jarrett has worked for WWE as a producer in recent times, as well as appearing on pay-per-view pre-shows and other shows like The Bump.
If there are any further updates we’ll keep you informed, but it seems the current situation is that he’s still with WWE but allowed to do other projects.
