The new holder of the NXT Championship was crowned on tonight’s (September 14) premiere episode of NXT 2.0.
Earlier in the show, Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland attacked Kyle O’Reilly backstage, taking him out of the match. O’Reilly was replaced in the match by the debuting Von Wagner (Cal Bloom).
Unfortunately for Wagner, he came up short in his debut match, as Tommaso Ciampa pinned LA Knight to win his second NXT Championship.
