WWE has made a change to one of it’s announced championship matches for this Sunday’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
On the September 6 episode of Raw, Sheamus defeated Drew McIntyre to earn a United States Championship match against Damian Priest at the event. On last week’s (September 13) show, Sheamus interrupted an open challenge match between Priest and Jeff Hardy to cause a disqualification.
On tonight’s episode of Raw, Jeff Hardy defeated Sheamus in a United States Championship Contender’s match, meaning that the United States Championship match at Extreme Rules will now be a Triple Threat match.
WWE Extreme Rules streams live on Sunday, September 26 on WWE Network and Peacock in the United States.
