A former WWE Champion got a shot at Damian Priest’s World Heavyweight Champion tonight in Birmingham, England.
At tonight’s WWE live tour in Birmingham, England there were multiple championships on the line including a potentially unlikely challenger for Damian Priest’s title.
After cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 40 to best Drew McIntyre (who had just won the title after a hard fought battle against Seth Rollins), Damian Priest is already proving to be a fighting champion.
Tonight in Birmingham, Priest successfully defended his title against Kofi Kingston.
Fans will of course remember that in 2019 Kofi Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 to win the WWE Championship, a match that was dubbed ‘KofiMania’.
Elsewhere at the live show, Sami Zayn was able to retain his Intercontinental Championship against three formidable foes.
Zayn overcame Chad Gable, Finn Balor and GUNTHER to keep the IC title.
