Chelsea Green has said that WWE sent out a text to talent informing them that they weren’t allowed to attend the All In pay-per-view.
The historic show took place in September 2018, and ended up being the precursor to AEW, with names like Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada, Cody and Rey Mysterio on the card.
Green, who was also on the show, said that her then-boyfriend and now-fiancé Matt Cardona and other WWE talents who were planning on being at the show were told they weren’t allowed.
On her Green With Envy podcast, she said:
“I will say that I really wish Matt had been able to go. Every one at WWE who had a spouse or a partner that was on All In got a text the week or two out from talent relations at WWE, saying they were not allowed to be at All In. So originally, of course, Matt and people like Deonna (Purrazzo) and Adam Cole, so many people were going to be at All In, just backstage watching us. And when they sent that text, I mean, it was way too risky for any of them to be there, especially after being told not to. It was such a bummer, but it still feels like yesterday when I came back from my match to a hundred texts from Matt saying how awesome it was. I actually could cry thinking about it all.”
Green had actually already signed with WWE but told the company she wanted to fulfill her bookings, but she didn’t actually tell them that it was specifically for All In because she didn’t want to lose her spot on the show.
On the topic of All In, Green also accussed Tessa Blanchard of potentially trying to “strong arm” higher-ups into making sure she was the winner of their match, which you can read about at this link.
