Jeff Hardy has provided clarification on the length of his current WWE deal, revealing one of his conditions for re-signing.
On the July 19 edition of Raw, Hardy made his entrance to his old theme, ‘No More Words’. Speaking with BT Sport, Hardy revealed that getting his old music back was part of the deal he made with WWE when he signed his latest contract.
Stating that he’s with WWE for at least two more years, Hardy said:
“That was the deal when I re-signed. I was like, ‘I’ll sign for two years as long as I get my old theme back called No More Words.’ We came to find that they owned the song so there was no reason I couldn’t. My first night in front of a live audience, I got it back and it’s just like it never left. It was so powerful. I think (WWE) realized, ‘Yeah, that was a good decision.'”
In September, PWInsider reported that Hardy’s new deal was not for five years, and was closer to ‘2-3 years total’ in length.
Hardy will represent Team SmackDown this Sunday during the men’s five-on-five elimination tag match at Survivor Series.
