Brian Cage has not appeared on AEW television since he lost the FTW Championship to Ricky Starks on AEW Rampage back in October 2021.
Many had speculated that Brian Cage’s AEW contract would not be renewed when it was set to expire in February, but AEW surprisingly opted to pick up his one year extension.
Cage recently spoke on the Going Broadway podcast, where he revealed that there is curently a plan in place for his return to AEW television.
He said:
“There is a plan. I guess that’s about as much as I can throw around out there. We’ll wait and see,”
“I’ve pitched different ideas. There was ideas that changed up towards the end. I came up with a couple of ideas. There are different creative ideas, some are more detailed than others. It’s all supposed to formulate into this plan that is underway,”
