AEW President Tony Khan has confirmed that Wheeler Yuta has officially signed with the company.
At ROH Supercard of Honor, Yuta pinned Josh Woods to become the new ROH Pure Champion.
Following his win, Tony Khan took to Twitter to reveal that Yuta is now All Elite:
“It’s official! He’s the new @ringofhonor Pure Champion, and @WheelerYuta is ALL ELITE!”
Yuta debuted for AEW in June 2021 during a Dark: Elevation taping. The star then aligned himself with the Best Friends, while Trent Beretta was on the shelf.
In recent weeks, Yuta has had interesting interactions with William Regal, squaring up to the wrestling veteran at Dynamite: St Patrick’s Day Slam. Regal praised Yuta’s performance against Bryan Danielson on Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite.
Tony Khan has also confirmed the signing of Samoa Joe, following Joe’s appearance during the closing moments of the show.
Samoa Joe has since provided an update on his health, which you can read more about right here.
